# Proggy carries an embedded bitmap strike at ppem 11 (its outlines are empty,
# so `embedded-bitmaps: true` + size 11 selects the strike). The 'w' glyph has
# bitmap bearingX=0 (ink flush against the pen) and, being a bitmap, no sub-pixel
# positioning: it is placed on the device pixel grid. At a fractional device x the
# glyph floors onto the grid while an *ancestor* clip (here a clip-chain node,
# mirroring an overflow:hidden container) kept EXACT on the sub-pixel axis before
# the leftmost ink column. Rounding a text run's *ancestor* clips OUT on both axes
# (the fix) puts that edge on the same grid line as the glyph, so nothing is
# shaved. The clip must be a clip-chain node, not the text item's own clip-rect:
# a couple of px left, where it never shaves; a correct build renders them alike.
