# PR_DeleteSharedMemory
Deletes a shared memory segment identified by name.
## Syntax

### Parameter
The function has these parameter:
shm
: The handle returned from {ref}`PR_OpenSharedMemory`.
### Returns
{ref}`PRStatus`.
